 Stand Up For Your Rights                                              

            Did you know that a new federal law was just signed that makes it LEGAL for the federal government to arrest Americans without charges or a trial?  The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) contains “indefinite detention” provisions which have been UNANIMOUSLY (107-0) opposed by the Michigan state House of Representatives.  We are lucky to have representatives with the conviction to stand up for our rights, and we should thank them.  This is very encouraging but it must not end there.  Contact ALL of your elected officials and encourage them to show the same integrity that Michigan’s House of Representatives has shown in the face of this blatantly unconstitutional law.  We must protect our 5^th Amendment.

 

          Barak Obama has promised to move swiftly to restrict our right to self-defense.  This will be disguised as an “assault weapons ban” cultivating the idea that law-abiding citizens have no need for “assault weapons”.  This belief may be shared by the majority of the public but it makes the fatal mistake of ignoring history.  Countless countries around the world have disarmed their citizens GRADUALLY using the same slippery-slope tactics, banning “assault weapons”, a label which is eventually attached to all firearms.  The very purpose of the 2^nd Amendment is to protect citizens from a government which would have them IMPRISONED WITHOUT DUE PROCESS.   In fact, the entire Constitution was established to protect the rights of American citizens from enemies “both foreign and domestic”.  We must protect our 2^nd Amendment.

 

          The county Sheriff is an elected official who is charged with enforcing laws which serve to protect the rights of his constituents.  Laws that are contrary to that purpose should not be enforced.  It’s up to us, as voters, to let our Sheriff know what laws we find to be unconstitutional, ask him to protect our rights, and not enforce unconstitutional federal laws.  Starting with the Sheriff, please reach out to all these good people in elected office and let them know how their voters feel about freedom.

Liberty Loves Company

      The Liberty movement became the most important cause in my life shortly after I discovered Ron Paul via YouTube in 2010.  Since then nothing makes me happier than to see the effect of liberty rhetoric on an open mind.  The human mind which has discovered liberty is like a bird which has discovered it can fly.  The constraints of politics and media give way to the immeasureable potential of creativity and communication.  Fear gives way to hope.  Confusion gives way to understanding. 

 If I could have one wish, it would be for everybody on earth to see the world as I see it:
   
     A sphere that has achieved natural perfection of form and function to sustain life
     A human awareness that is the most advanced form of enlightenment this planet has ever seen
     A culture which has come to have a profoundly negative impact on the progress of the human race

If these statements are true, it is clear that we must have a renaissance in culture.  We must unleash this human potential on the problems of today.  To do this we have to emrbrace the new ideas of freedom and individual liberty and reject the old ideas of central planning and collectivism.
